Kendriya Vidyalaya H.E.C. Campus, Sector-II, Ranchi under Bhubaneshwar Region Was established in 1974 and is the second oldest K V at Ranchi. In the beginning the school ran underproject sector Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd.Took care of its management but now fromApril2003 onward the Vidyalayais under Civil Sector being governed by KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) in all respect and For the proper management of vidyalaya in some matters Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan make provision of Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC)for each vidyalaya.Because of internal financial problems of H.E.C, the school was virgin of the closure but after conversion into civil sector the re-establishment took place and the vidyalaya is day by day progressing in all fields. A few years back this vidyalaya was having strength of hardly 500 students but now it crossed 950 bars and is going to touch four digit figures. It is expected that within a period of coming one or two years it will achieve the goal of flashing qualitative Board results and will be able to provide a quality education to the students who are the future of nation. Computer education has been started and efforts are on to establish a well equipped computer lab. Some difficulties are being faced in enhancing the speedier development but even then we may assure that it will surely come up as a model school as well as a smart school in near future.
